A-Translation of Sūrah al-Ḥamd
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (bismil lāhir raḥmānir raḥīm)
In the name of Allāh, the all-merciful, the all-compassionate
الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (alḥamdu lillāhi rabbil ʿālamīn)
Special praise be to Allāh, the Lord of the worlds.
الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (arraḥmānir raḥīm)
The compassionate, the merciful.
مٰالِكِ يَومِ الدِّينِ (māliki yawmid dīn)
Lord of the day of judgment.
إِيَّاكَ نَـعْبُدُ وَ إِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ (iyyāka naʿbudu wa iyyāka nastaʿīn)
You alone we worship, and to you alone we pray for help.
اِهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ (ihdinaṣ ṣirāṭal mustaqīm)
Guide us to the straight path.
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْـعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ (ṣirāṭal ladhīna anʿamta ʿalayhim)
The path of those whom you have favoured.
غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ لَا الضَّالِّینَ
(ghayril maghḍūbi ʿalayhim wa laḍ ḍāllīn)
Not of those who have incurred your wrath, nor of those who have gone astray
B- Translation of Sūrah al-Ikhlāṣ
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (bismil lāhir raḥmānir raḥīm)
In the Name of Allāh, the all-merciful, the all-compassionate
قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ (qul huwal lāhu aḥad)
(O Prophet!) say: Allāh is one
اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُ (allāhuṣ ṣamad)
‘Allāh is the all-embracing.’
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَ لَمْ يُولَدْ (lam yalid wa lam yūlad)
He begot none, nor was He begotten
وَ لَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ (wa lam yakul lahu kufuwan aḥad)
And none in the creation is equal to him
C- Translation of the Dhikr of Rukūʿ, Sujūd, and …
- Dhikr of Rukūʿ:
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِیمِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ(subḥāna rabbiyal ʿaẓīmi wa biḥamdih)
Glory be to my Lord and I praise him
- Dhikr of Sujūd:
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ(subḥāna rabbiyal aʿlā wa biḥamdih)
Glory be to my Lord, most High, and I praise him.
- The Dhikr after Rukūʿ:
سَمِعَ اللّٰهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ (samiʿal lāhu liman ḥamidah)
Allāh hears the one who praises him.
- The Dhikr between tow Sajdah:
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ رَبِّي وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَیْهِ(astaghfirul lāha rabbī wa atūbu ilayh)
I Seek forgiveness from Allāh, my Lord, and I turn to him in repentance.
- Dhikr while standing after the second Sajdah:
بِحَوْلِ اللّٰهِ وَ قُـوَّتِهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْـعُدُ
(biḥawlil lāhi wa quwwatihi aqūmu wa aqʿud)
I stand and sit by the strength of Allāh and by his power.
D- Translation of Qunūt
رَبَّنا آتِنا فِى الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وَ فِى الاْخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنا عَذابَ النّارِ
(Rabbana atena fid-dunya hasanah wa fi al akherate hasanah wa qena azaban nar)
O’ Lord! Bestow on us your bounties both in this world and in the hereafter, and protect us against the torments of the Hell fire.
F- Translation of Al-Tasbīḥāt Al-Arbaʿah
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ وَ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَ اللهُ أَکْبَـرُ
(subḥānal lāhi wal ḥamdu lillāhi wa lā ilāha illal lāhu wal lāhu akbar)
Glory be to Allāh, and all praise is for him and there is no one worth worshipping other than Allāh and he is Greater than any des c r i p tion.
E- Translation of Tashahhud
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ، أَشْهَدُ أَن لَّا إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِیكَ لَهُ
(alḥamdu lillāh, ashhadu al lā ilāha illal lāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah)
All praise is for Allāh, and I testify that there is none worth worshipping except the Almighty Allāh, who is one and has no partner.
وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ
(wa ashhadu anna muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa rasūluh)
And I testify that Muhammad is his servant and messenger.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
(allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammadiw wa āli muḥammad)
O Allāh! Send your blessings on Muhammad and his progeny.
H-Translation of Salām
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ أَيُّـهَا النَّبِيُّ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَـرَکَاتُهُ
(asSalāmu ʿalayka ayyuhan nabiyyu wa raḥmatul lāhi wa barakātuh)
O Prophet! Allāh’s peace, blessings and grace be upon you.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْنَا وَ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِینَ
(asSalāmu ʿalaynā wa ʿalā ʿibādil lāhiṣ ṣāliḥīn)
Allāh’s peace be on us, those offering prayers – and upon all pious servants of Allāh
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَـرَکَاتُهُ
(asSalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatul lāhi wa barakātuh)
Allāh’s peace, blessings and grace be on you believers.
